In 2009, the Environmental Agency passed legislation that plasterboard must not be land-filled and that it should be separated for recovery and recycling as it is damaging to the environment. Because of this legislation it is more expensive to dispose of plasterboard and therefore most skip companies will charge you extra if you have plasterboard in your skip.
We accept small amounts of plasterboard in our skips without any surcharges.
We cannot accept a skip full of plasterboard and if you do have a large amount we will have to charge a price per tonne with a 2 tonne minimum charge. Please contact us for more information if you have a large quantity to dispose of.
